Sommerro is one of those places that makes it easy to forget you’re still in the city. Set in the former headquarters of Oslo Lysverker, the hotel brings together Art Deco details, Norwegian design, restaurants, bars and spaces made for long, slow days.

Our connection with Sommerro has grown naturally over the years. As two Oslo staples with a shared appreciation for style, design and the city around us, it has always felt like a natural collaboration. We love finding ways to bring fashion into the Sommerro universe, from dressing for a slow morning and a day at Vestkantbadet to getting ready for dinner, drinks or an evening of live music. For this fall getaway, we’ve put together a selection of our favourite looks for the different moments that make a stay at Sommerro feel like a little escape from everyday life.

No staycation is complete without a good morning coffee. Kafé Lucy is an easy place to start the day, whether you’re picking up a coffee to take with you or settling in for a little while. With beans from Tim Wendelboe and a warm, relaxed atmosphere, it’s the kind of neighbourhood spot you’ll want to come back to throughout your stay.

Sommerro Unplugged brings live music to Lysverker Scene, with a mix of up-and-coming artists and more established names in an intimate setting. With a few artists playing throughout the evening, it’s the kind of night that feels easy to make plans around.

Start with dinner or a drink at Sommerro, find your seat for the evening and let the music take over for a while. The concert space is a quiet zone while the artists are performing, with time to talk, grab a drink and take in the atmosphere before, between and after the shows.

And, of course, there’s the question of what to wear.
