Inside Oslo Runway: From Everyday Style to Statement Jewellery

Oslo Runway has become an important meeting place for Norwegian fashion, bringing together established designers, emerging talents and some of the most exciting names in the country’s creative scene. More than a series of runway shows, it offers a glimpse into what is happening in Norwegian fashion right now, both on the runway and in the streets surrounding it. And this season, everyday dressing came with plenty of personality. 

Black and white formed the foundation of many looks, alongside leather, tailoring and classic wardrobe staples. But there was rarely anything plain about them. Oversized sunglasses, a flash of red, polka dots, glitter, fringe and unexpected textures brought something extra to otherwise simple outfits. Prints were paired with basics, while feminine shapes, statement jackets and dramatic sleeves made even familiar silhouettes feel more considered.

At the Pearl Octopuss.y show, that same idea played out through jewellery. Against looks built around black, simple silhouettes and everyday pieces, pearls, crystals and bold accessories completely changed the mood. A simple black look suddenly felt dressed up, while glittering details, statement jewellery and great shoes brought a completely different energy to the room.

At Pearl Octopuss.y’s show, held at the National Gallery during Oslo Runway, the contrast between everyday dressing and bold accessories became especially clear. The collection, Metamorphosis, played with simple silhouettes and a mostly black palette, allowing the jewellery to take up space. Pearls, crystals, glittering details and sculptural pieces brought texture and personality to the looks, often paired with tailoring and familiar wardrobe pieces.

That contrast is very much at the heart of Pearl Octopuss.y. The jewellery is bold, playful and impossible to overlook, but the styling never felt like too much. A sharp blazer was given a completely different energy with a statement piece around the waist, while simple black looks became the perfect backdrop for pearls, sparkle and unexpected details. The clothes created the foundation, but the jewellery was clearly part of the look from the very beginning.

Metamorphosis felt true to the Pearl Octopuss.y universe, with pieces that were expressive, playful and full of character. There were pearls and glitter, sculptural shapes and details that caught your eye from across the room, all styled in a way that still felt cool and effortless. Held inside the National Gallery, the setting made an equally fitting backdrop for a collection and a brand that is never afraid to stand out.

The Pearl Octopuss.y show attracted a crowd that felt very much at home in the brand’s universe. Among the guests, black formed the base for many looks, styled with bold jewellery, interesting textures and details that caught the eye. Pearls, glitter and statement accessories appeared throughout, often paired with otherwise simple pieces.

There was a mix of sharp tailoring, feminine silhouettes and more playful styling, with great shoes, oversized sunglasses and jewellery adding plenty of personality. It felt like the perfect setting for a closer look at how people interpret the Pearl Octopuss.y universe in their own way.
